Why do I call myself Farmfitma? 

Why do I run so much?

Why do I eat the way I do? 

Why did I decide to share it with the world? 

There is lots of why’s to what I do and I am sure I missed several. These four are the most important to me and I would love to share the answers with you. 

Why do I call my self Farmfitma?

Simple, my husband, two children and myself live on a hobby farm in central Saskatchewan, Canada, I want to become more fit each day and I have always wanted to be called Ma instead of Mom. There are lots of aspects of farming (yes even hobby farming) that require a person to be fit. Can the job be done while not fit. I am sure it can however being fit makes it a lot easier. 
Why do I run so much?  

I am crazy.  

I have really come to love running. 

I can do it by myself, with someone, or with the dogs. 

It can be inexpensive. I stress the can be part. It has turned kinda expensive for me.  I have indoor and outdoor runners. Compression gear, winter gear, summer gear, several pairs of headphones, a treadmill and of course race fees. 

It gives me time to think. This is the best part about it.  My 30 minutes of running I can get so much thinking done. Just clear my head. All things stop and I just run. 

I also run so that I can keep up with my kids and eventually grandchildren. I want to live a long healthy life and running helps me get there. 

Why do I eat the way I do? 

I have battled with my weight for as long as I can remember. 

I have a very unhealthy relationship with food and it is a daily if not hourly struggle.  

I eat my emotions, happy, sad, mad they all require food. Well at least in my mind they do. 

I was challenged by a health care professional to try a new way of eating and wow did I feel amazing. I know eat 80% of the time paleo. I feel great and have so much more energy. 

I do it so I can be a better wife and ma to my family  

Why did I decide to share it with the world? 
I started this blog for one reason and one reason only. To help other women. 

I am certain that I am not the only stay at home mom who struggles with eating habits and fitting fitness into her life.  

If I can share the good the bad and the ugly of my journey then maybe just maybe one other person will walk a little long. Eat a little better. Try and be a little healthier.
